The fight continues

Syrian Service - The head of the Supreme Council of Syrian Alawites issued a video message, taking a stand against the Syrian interim government and declaring that the struggle to restore violated rights and preserve the dignity of the Alawites will continue.

According to Kurdpress, the Supreme Council of Syrian Alawites and the diaspora of this community took a stand against the Damascus interim government and criticized the current political situation in Syria and the need for national unity.

The head of this council, Sheikh Ghazal Ghazal, announced in a video message that the issue of Alevis is not only a personal issue, but a popular issue. He added: "This case started with the first drop of unjustly shed blood, and our struggle will continue until the violated rights are returned and justice is not established." As long as the soul with the dignity of Alevis remains on this earth, our efforts will continue.

Sheikh Ghazal also emphasized that the existing government is trying to control different groups of the Syrian society for their own benefit and explained: "These groups do not see the society in the eyes of development, but as a tool of the market. They operate with the logic of "targeting groups from afar"; The last example of this process is the first attack on the Kurds and then the persecution of other people against the government of Damascus. Sometimes people are attacked in the name of security, sometimes in the name of power sharing, and sometimes in the name of freedom, but the result is always the same: oppression, killing and violation of rights.

Sheikh Ghazal Ghazal also said that the current trend in Syria is neither national unity nor real cooperation, but crisis management by a tyrannical government that is not capable of lasting relations with any Syrian group. "They want to destroy our great divide in any way possible," he added.

Sheikh Ghazal stated about the position of the Alevi community: "We neither support repression nor take a position of surrender. "We will not accept half-baked solutions or clean up crimes in the name of reforms, and we will never remain silent, passive or hostage to a system that is incapable of creating a real government."

He also emphasized that security and rights for all Syrian people can only be provided through legal and political paths and said: "Existence, security and participation are not only moral demands; These rights are legal and political and should be fully restored. This is our covenant, our loyalty is shed in blood, and it is our history that will never be forgotten."
