According to Kurdpress, the Iranian president and president of Iraq exchanged views in a telephone conversation on developments in the region following the military aggression of the US and Israel against Iran.

Emphasizing Iran's right to self-defense in targeting American centers and bases that are the source of aggression against Iranian territory, the president stated: "We must be vigilant and vigilant against the conspiracies of the US and Israel, which seek to sow division and sedition among Muslim countries by equipping and employing terrorist groups and using neighboring territories to commit aggression against Iran."

Pezeshkian, condemning the attacks by the US and Israel on the positions of Iraqi military and security forces, emphasized Iran's readiness to engage and cooperate more with Iraq and to welcome the visit of his Iraqi counterpart to Tehran at an appropriate opportunity.

The Iraqi president went on to describe the US and Israel aggression and the war against Iran as an act against all Muslim nations and the region, and emphasized his country's principled position in opposing this war and not allowing third parties to use Iraqi territory in aggression against Iran.
