Hakan Fidan warns of risk of war spreading in the Middle East  

Turkish service – Turkish foreign minister Hakan Fidan warned about the spread of war in the Middle East and the increase in sustained hostility in the region.

According to Kurdpress, Turkish foreign minister Hakan Fidan, about the latest developments in the region and the ongoing war in the Middle East, described Ankara's main goal from the beginning as preventing the war, stopping it if it begins, containing its spread, and keeping Turkey away from this conflict.

He emphasized: "Our number one goal is to stop the war. At the same time, it is very important to prevent its further spread. It should not spread to other countries and it should not create lasting hostilities and instability in the region."

Fidan pointed out that hostility between countries can continue for years after a war and hinder cooperation, development, and prosperity, saying: "All our efforts are to prevent war, Negotiations to end the conflict have begun and some progress has been made. Messages are being conveyed through Pakistan, and the US is coordinating this issue with turkey, and they are also informing Iran."

Referring to Iran's continued missile and drone attacks on the Persian Gulf countries, Fidan said: "Turkey has advised regional parties to exercise restraint. He warned that the reactions could have long-term consequences and contribute to Israel's is desired scenario, which is the continuation of conflict among Islamic countries."

Finally, Fidan emphasized the need for regional cooperation between Iran, the Persian Gulf countries, Turkey, Pakistan, and Egypt, pointing to Turkey's emerging role as a key energy and logistics hub, and said that such a cooperation framework could bring significant economic, political, and security benefits to the region.
