According to Kurdpress, regarding the issue of the presidential elections, Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leader Massoud Barzani has sent a letter to the coordination Framework. In This letter, which was sent yesterday, regarding the parliamentary session to elect the president, he called on the Shiite parties to adhere to the principles of the constitution and strengthen the spirit of understanding and cooperation; with the aim of keeping Iraq and its people away from war and maintaining social peace within the country.

According to Massoud Barzani, both Shiite and Sunni coalitions have accepted this mechanism for electing the president, and the same principle should be followed now.

At the end of this letter, Barzani warned the Shiite parties about the issue of choosing the president, saying: "imposing a decision will have the opposite result and will lead Iraq towards a deeper divide."
