According to Kurdpress, The speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Halbousi, emphasized on Saturday that the formation of the new Iraqi government must be accelerated.      

According to the official Iraqi news agency, during the meeting to elect the Iraqi president, he said that we must all fulfill our responsibility in moving the country towards security.

He added that the formation of a new Iraqi government should be accelerated.

The speaker of the Iraqi parliament called on the coordination framework to submit a request for a prime ministerial candidate within 15 days.

Previously, Nizar Amidi, the candidate of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, was elected as the new president of Iraq.
