The stage of integration of military, security and administrative institutions has ended

Syria Service - "Mazlum Abdi", Commander-in-Chief of the SDF, announced in a speech that the stage of integration of military, security and administrative institutions into the Syrian government structures has ended and a new stage has begun.

According to Kurdistan Press, "Mazlum Abdi", Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), emphasized at the ceremony for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the city of Qamishlo that this city reflects the history of the Syrian island and the diversity of its societies and cultures, and the upcoming stage, in addition to the beginning of a new stage in the process of integration of military, security and administrative institutions, will witness increased political activities to guarantee the legitimate rights of the Kurds and other Syrian communities in the country's constitution.“Mazlum Abdi,” the SDF commander-in-chief, said at the ceremony that the people and different communities of the region have lived side by side for more than a century, and that the formation of Qamishlo also reflected the different cultures of the people of the region and its social diversity.

Referring to the Baath Party regime and the policies that he described as chauvinistic, he stated that in recent years, policies aimed at changing the demographic structure and Arabizing the region have been implemented. According to Abdi, the autonomous administration has resisted these policies over the past 15 years and has worked to restore the region’s identity.

The SDF commander-in-chief also referred to the wars in the region in recent years, saying that the people have defended themselves against attacks. He added that the SDF was also formed as a result of the people’s resistance and became a force to defend the region.Abdi continued, considering the fall of the Baath regime and the beginning of the process of building a new Syria as the starting point of a different stage, and said that the decision to participate in the new Syria was made based on the January 29 agreement.

Regarding the process of integrating the security, military, and administrative institutions established over the past years into the Syrian government structures, he said that these institutions will be integrated into the government structure, but their identity and achievements will be preserved.

Abdi stated: "The phase of integrating the military, security, and administrative institutions into government institutions has ended, and a new phase has begun today."

He called on the people of the region to protect the institutions that, according to him, were established with the sacrifice and loss of lives of the forces, and to support their activities.The SDF Commander-in-Chief also remembered the fighters of the Kurdish forces who stood alongside the SDF against the attacks on the region and honored all those who stood alongside the people and lost their lives in their defense.

Abdi continued by praising the resistance of the people of the region over the past 15 years and said that the struggle to guarantee the rights of the Kurdish people and all communities in the region will continue.

He emphasized that the next stage will witness increased political activities to guarantee the legitimate rights of the Kurds and other communities in the Syrian constitution.

At the end of his speech, the SDF Commander-in-Chief considered Qamishlo to have the potential to become a cultural, political center and a symbol of multiculturalism in the region and called on all communities in the region to work together to build a peaceful future.
