According to Shafaq News, Fayeq Yazidi said in this regard that "Kurdistan Region continues to negotiate with Baghdad and the views of the two sides have become closer. Efforts are also under way to form a Kurdish political delegation to travel to Baghdad before the budget law is passed.
Yazidi added: "Baghdad and Erbil have reached an agreement according to which the share of the Kurdistan Region in the Iraqi budget will be 12.60%. However, some political movements are abusing this issue for electoral purposes in order to make the agreement failed."
Regarding the demands of the Kurdistan Region in the deficit law, the senior member of the PUK said: "the implementation of the law will end in the next few days and no specific amount or time has been specified for Baghdad to send the budget to the Kurdistan Region."
