The prime minister is set to sign memorandums of understanding with Germany regarding the electricity sector, INA said.
“Our visit to Germany came due to its economic and technological importance,” said the prime minister in a press conference.
“We will sign memorandums of understanding with Germany in the electricity sector,” he added.
Moreover, during his visit, the premier is accompanied by a delegation which is joined by the ministers of foreign affairs, industry, and migration, according to INA.
In the meantime, a group of Iraqi advisors and businessmen joined the delegation as well, and the Prime Minister considers the visit as the affirmation of Baghdad-Berlin political and economic relations.
The Iraqi prime minister has also had an agenda to propose to the German government the formation of a joint committee to pave the way for the voluntary return of Iraqi migrants to the country, Sudani said in the press conference.
“We will also work closely with Germany on sensitive issues such as deportations and carefully examine each case in accordance with the law and agreements between the two countries,” Sudani continued.
