Sadiq has delivered the resignation to Gorran and is awaiting the decision of the leading member of the movement.
His resignation comes at a time that he has been away from the post for the part two and half years due to disputes between the opposition Gorran and the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
Blaming the unstable situation in the region and the current crises, Sadiq asked people in the region to be prepared for holding demonstrations and annulling the present government of the region, calling for the protests to be held peacefully and a committee to be established to supervise and manage the demonstrations.
He further blamed the political situation in the region and stated that to be an opposition does not have any meaning in the region as there is no responsible government in the region and so that there could be an opposition against it.
