Masrour Barzani says a Kurdistan Region delegation will go to Baghdad next week

A delegation from the Kurdistan Region will be sent to Baghdad next week to guarantee the budget share and salaries of the region's employees, the region's Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said.

According to Radio Nova, Barzani announced in a Twitter message after a meeting with representatives and consuls of the world in Erbil that the aim of the Kurdish autonomous region is to guarantee the share of its budget and the salaries of its employees in the Iraqi budget, and that a regional negotiating team will be sent to Baghdad next week.

He supported the efforts to hold early elections in Iraq, saying that he had informed the representatives of the countries of this support and stressed on the need for holding a transparent election under the supervision of the representatives of the United Nations.

The Prime Minister added that his government is trying to increase domestic oil and non-oil revenues, organize the tax system, increase revenue and reduce its expenses, and has talked with his partners over receiving more aid, attracting more investment and strengthening the region's infrastructure.
