Voria Farjamohammad told IRNA that the two sides’ customs administrations fully cooperate to transit goods and export foodstuff to Sulaimani.
Iranian foodstuff is welcomed in Sulaimani, he said.
Farjamohammad stressed that as long as the purchase of such goods from Iran does not harm the domestic production of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, these products will be allowed to be imported to the region.
To support and protect domestic production, imports of certain Iranian products have been prohibited to the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, he said.
