Number of PKK forces increased in Kurdistan Region’s Hewraman

<p style="text-align: left;">An official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in Helabja, in Kurdistan Region, stated that the number of the Kurdistan Workers&amp;rsquo; Party (PKK) militants have increased in the Hewraman areas of the Kurdish region.

Fazel Basharati told BasNews that there were PKK forces in the region but the number of the fighters has dramatically increased recently.

He stated that the PKK has not unfortunately disclosed the area of its activities and, thereby, has created troubles for the people in the region.

Bashatrati claimed that the PKK forces tease people and take money from the locals.

It is worth mentioning that Helabja local officials have not made any comments in this regard.

The KDP had earlier asked the PKK to quit the region.
