Turkish security force killed in clashes with PKK in Hakkari province: ministry

Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement that a Turkish security force was killed in clashes with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the Turkish-Iraqi border region.

Referring to clashes between Turkish security forces and PKK militants in the Kurdish province of Hakkari, the Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday, November 17 that: "On November 16 clashes erupted between a group of PKK militants with Turkey army forces in Cukurca region in Hakkari province "in which one of Turkish army forces lost his life."
According to the Aydinlik newspaper, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar stressed in his message of condolences on the continuation of operations against the PKK positions inside and outside Turkey.
