On his Twitter page, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham announced he held talks with Madman Kobani, commander of Syria's Kurdish-Arab forces known as the Syrian Democratic Forces, on the occasion of the release of the city of Baguz from the IS in a military operation by the Kurdish and US forces.
The senator stated that the Kurds aided the US-led coalition to abort the IS caliphate in Syria, and helped the US in securing its interests.
The Republican senator described the talks with Kobani as excellent.
Senator Graham also expressed concern about Russia's presence in northeast Syria, calling it an effort to dominate oil-rich areas under the control of Kurdish and American forces.
